Focussing on the post-73rd Constitutional amendment scenario of PRIs in India, the author takes a critical look at the existing realities of administrative structure at the district level and the factors holding up operationalisation of rejuvenated PRIs, illustrating the case with the relationship pattern of DRDAs and PRIs in Rajasthan.
