The song, Vande Mataram, written originally in 1875, was used by Bankim Chandra in his novel Anand Marth, in 1882 Bankim believed that this songs could course waves cross the entirety of Indian and it come to be ranked almost as the national anthem since 1905 when it was provided a melody by Robindarnath Togore. – Reproduced
