Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) was launched by the Prime Minister on 15the August 2009 with an objective of improving the quality of life in rural areas. Conceding with it the new union territory (UT) of Ladakh also come into existence few weekslater. Despite being a new UT, with only 3.31% saturation of household (HH) top convection at the time, Ladakh resolved to achieve the target a hit ached of the national target. – Reproduced
