The concept of Ksian credit cards 9KCC) was introduced in the agriculture sector in the year 1998 with the imitative of NABARD. The scheme envisaged issuance of KCC by the banks to the farmers that carried a pre-fixed cre3dit limit based on a farmer’s landholding as per his capacity to purchase agricultural inputs from any supplier or even draw cash amount, as per his instant crop production requirement, from the bank up to his cre3dit limit. – Reproduced
