Mohalla committees of Mumbai: candles in ominous darkness - 2004 - p.580-86. - 7 Feb

Mohalla committees, a civil society initiative that involved members of the police and the public, helped heal some of the severe communal wounds of the 1992-93 riots in Mumbai.
