Nanda, A.R.
Population stabilisation in India: Issues and concerns relating to governance - 2004 - p.92-98. - Jan-Mar
The perceived needs and concerns of the vast multitudes of the lower middle class, the poor and the marginalised sections have not been realistically assessed and reflected in most of the policies, strategies and programmes of governments and in the style of their implementation directed towards tackling the issue of population. This mismatch and incongruity in thinking and perception between the government and citizens has remained the biggest stumbling block for governance and a smooth and expeditious solution of the population and development issues in India. - Reproduced.
