Katherine Farquhar studied fortythree legal service corporation agencies that went through executive director changes between 1985 and 1989. among other findings, Farquhar found that attitudes toward the departing director tended to be negative. There was considerable staff interest and involvement in executive search process, although staff assessment of the search itself was somewhat mixed.
