520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc With the advent of globalisation a sea of change in public administration took place and people started using the term ‘governance’ in place of government. The international actors began to set norms for ‘good governance’ particularly in context of administration of developing countries and stressed on people-centric and effective governance. The international institutions like FADI, FAO and World Bank have enumerated certain features of good governance which became key term for governments of developing countries in the 21st century. On the other hand, the rulers of ancient India have reflected such features of governance that match to the present features of good governance. In view of this assumption the present paper intends to trace the features of good governance in the administration of ancient India, particularly in context of Brahamanical system, Hindu and Kautilya’s Arthshastra. - Reproduced
