Summary, etc Training and development is a structure for assisting the workforce in advancing in professional and personal skills. Human Resource function generally focuses on the advancement of the employees so as to attain the organizational goals. Training programs are important source for organizations to gain a competitive edge. Employees who undergo adequate and accurate training increase the probability of efciency in performing work tasks and a value addition with a competitive advantage to the organization. It is binding on training and development experts to plan, implement, and assess the impact of training in improving the organizational performance. There has been a considerable debate among specialists and experts on the impact of the training programs on the employees and the organization. The present study is descriptive in nature and focuses on exploring the trainee's perceptions on the training programs as well as evaluating on the training programs of a leading Bank in Maharashtra in India. The evaluation is carried out using Reaction level (Level 1) and Behaviour level (Level 3) of Kirkpatrick's model with the assistance of surveys and face to face interviews. The results indicate the positive reaction of the participants regarding training and also the application of the training in the workplace. – Reproduced
