Summary, etc This paper examines the firm level determinants of production related energy use in Indian manufacturing firms from 2008 to 2019. The methodological approach is to estimate a system of factor share equators for the Indian manufacturing sector. Our main results indicate that non-natural (biased) technological change explains factor saving for energy and labour, factor using for capital and materials, energy complements minerals and substitutes for labour in terms of cross price elasticity’s. – Reproduced
