Summary, etc The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) mooted by UN to be achieved by 2030 are ambitious in scope both in terms of their breadth and the target time of eight years. But the plausible reason behind setting up a limited time frame (eight years from now) for realizing the17 goals is all the goals are interdependent and can be classified under three broad headings- economic, environmental, and social. The final objective is to fulfill every individual’s right to social progress and equality (economic), clean environment (environmental) and conservation of world resources for future generations to utilize (social). The listed goals are: (1) No Poverty, (2) Zero Hunger, (3) Good Health and Wellbeing, (4) Quality Education, (5) Gender Equality, (6) Clean Water and Sanitation, (7) Affordable and Clean Energy, (8) Decent Work and Economic Growth, (9) Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, (10) Reduced Inequality, (11) Sustainable Cities and Communities, (12) Responsible Consumption and Production, (13) Climate Action, (14) Life Below Water, (15) Life On Land, (16) Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, (17) Partnerships for the Goals. – Reproduced
