3D printing or Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years; however, we have witnessed negligible use in our armed forces. As per past precedent we have assimilated technologies once they are well into circulation thereby losing out on time -technology curve. It is about time that we not only absorb this technology current levels but invest in further R&D to exploit it fully. We should appreciate its advantages and employ the technology suitably to improve our efficiency and economy. – Reproduced |
