The presence of a clean environment is essential for everyone to work with their most incredible efficiency. Countries with good sanitation policies always prosper. Further, good public health contributes to the GDP since reducing medical bills, which usually contribute to a considerable portion of individual income, leads to increased savings and investment. The Indian judiciary has inscribed sanitation and access to clean water within the sacrosanct scope of fundamental rights guaranteed within the Indian Constitution. The present paper attempts to discover diverse aspects of the Right to sanitation and access to clean water.
