Summary, etc Women have been traditionally playing an important role in agriculture, particularly crop production, in states such as Bihar. But, there has been a noticeable decline in the number of women actively participating in economic activities, including agriculture and related activities, in states such as Bihar in recent years. This could be a factor responsible for the high malnutrition among children and adults in the state. It appears that commercialization and the use of technology, including other factors, are contributing to decline in female participation in agriculture and related fields. On the other hand, interventions such as farmer producer organisations have been effective in increasing female active participation in agriculture. Women’s active participation in Farmer Producer Organizations increases women farmers’ access to productive and income-generating resources, that further improves children’s nutrition, health, and education. However, the nutritional implications of FPOs are poorly understood. A review of existing literature is required to develop an understanding of the nutritional implications of Farmer Producer Organizations. Based on a systematic review of the literature, this study investigates the gender and nutritional implications of Farmer Producer Organisations. – Reproduced
