Summary, etc In the recent decade, connectivity and communication are away with a click of a button and therefore the entire paradigm of business solutions has drastically changed. One of the key role players being the subject matter of Artificial Intelligence (AI). One sector where AI has been extensively used is the automobile sector. The advent was with initial levels of automation, mostly confined to Level 0-2 (SAE Int: 2018), with features like blind spot warning, electric currents that could detect obstacles nearby, autonomous highways or lanes, adaptive cruise control and traffic jam and queuing assistance, because, to early designers, they could solve the problem of dangerous roads and unsafe automobiles. However, this transition from human-driven to autonomous cars will not be seamless, as there exists an ambiguity as to how the same will fit into existing legal and regulatory frameworks. Scholars have adopted different approaches; some believe that the existing framework of laws will be able to accommodate the issues. However, some on the other hand do believe that it needs tailor-made laws to specifically deal with the issues. The law should precede innovation, legislative vacuum leads to skepticism in the minds of prospective consumers and stakeholders.- Reproduced
