Summary, etc Basic amenities and smart facilities are relevant for economic growth and development of cities in a sustainable manner. These facilities play a dominant role in the urban and rural societies because of complexity of human and environment corresponding with population density, lack of resources and rich socio-economic strata. To study average spatial concentration of basic urban amenities, Average Ward-Wise Composite Score (A.W.C.S) and Municipal Composite Score (M.C.S) have been calculated in Dharamshala Smart City focusing on a quantitative approach. To analyse the spatial distribution of smart facilities, and enhance sustainable development of the city, a GPS survey was conducted. Kotwali Bazar is Central Business District of the city while Mcleodganj is a well-developed tourist destination comprising both basic infrastructure and smart facilities. The most appreciated smart works are construction of root zone treatment plants, eco-tourism parks, and smart ducts to name a few. Rooftop solar power plants have been developed as an alternative means for electricity and very high concentration of the facilities has also been found in the wards.- Reproduced
