520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc The release of the factsheet of the Household Consumption Expenditure Survey for 2022–23 led government agencies and a section of economists to claim a massive reduction in poverty over the past decade with alacrity. While there is no denying that there has been a reduction in poverty, the reluctance of scholars and administrators to admit and correct the data discrepancies is unwarranted. More disturbing is attributing the data- and methodology-linked queries to poverty of thought.- Reproduced
