Summary, etc This article examines the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative in agriculture as a transformative strategy for rural development in India. It highlights how ODOP leverages regional specialization by promoting unique agricultural products from each district, thereby enhancing value addition, market access, and employment opportunities. The study explores the policy framework supporting ODOP, its potential to strengthen rural economies, and its role in integrating local producers into national and global value chains. By situating ODOP within broader debates on rural transformation and sustainable growth, the paper underscores its importance in fostering inclusive development, reducing regional disparities, and empowering rural communities. Migration, particularly of the rural youth, often leads to decline in rural activities like agriculture and traditional artisanal occupation which has long learn implication on food security, cultural heart age and identity and decline in the quality of nature.
