India's third-largest defence supplier at the moment is the US and one of its biggest trading partners. Despite their defence collaboration, India and the US do not have an easy relationship. The paper examines recent developments between India and the US, including the Quad agreement, Prime Minister Modi's visit to the US recently and its results, India's balancing act in the Russia-Ukraine war, the US's security concerns in South Asia and the Asia Pacific, and other related issues.
