| Summary, etc | IBM Chairman & CEO Arvind Krishna in an interview with ET edition dated 29.08.2023 had stated “As Artificial Intelligence (AI) usage gains prominence, countries will need to work on building their own capabilities in large language models and computing infrastructure to support sovereign AI capabilities.” (a). Re-skilling the competencies of people is high on the card. Every functionary of an organisation needs to make this imperative. With the digital era in vogue, currently it is of utmost importance to understand that the newer skills need to be embedded in the newer technology framework for better and effective performance of business. This would support faster work establishment and execution of tasks more efficiently. This gives rise to effective business decisions, better productivity, faster business solutions, better talent utilisation, mitigating human error and development of niche markets for gaining competitive advantage. HR being crucial has been addressed in this paper more emphatically in business transformation in the context of AI to handle business more effectively and efficiently in managing human resource management system. The bottom line for HR is to contemplate desired results in business management. Therefore, it is imperative that the whole business system needs a total re-learning and re-skilling. – Reproduced https://www.istd.in/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/IJTD-Volume-52-No-4-October-December-2022-25-June-24.pdf |
