The Sino Pak Axis emerged in 1963 has witnessed many ups and downs but with the changes in international milieu it has taken a different shape now. The changing role of army in Pakistan, the detonation of nuclear devices by India and Pakistan in 1998, the menace of terrorism, the South China Sea issue, the decline of SARAC and emergence of BRICS and the importance of Indo Pacific region, the New International Economic Order, the decline of the UN, the CPEC and OBOP, Ukraine Crisis, the Talibinsation of Afghanistan etc. in one way or the other has changed the contour of Sino- Pak Axis. The Chinese has always provide diplomatic support to Pakistan whenever need be. The prominent example is during the FATE meeting and in the UN Security Council. It's emphatically assumed that the International, regional and specific immediate objectives in different ways. The most important aspect which over the years has always strengthened Sino- Pak Axis is the India Factor as both are having indifferent relations with their immediate neighbor India. - Reproduced |
