Summary, etc Governance has become the most important issue in any discourse today. Governments at all levels give priority to maximise governance in every sphere so that public trust and confidence in government will be boosted. India in the era of globalisation emphasizes the concept of 'governance' to improve economic performance and reduce corruption, as a evidence suggests that good governance is strongly related to better economic outcomes and political stability. As the Indian government is committed to the Millennium Development Goals, it has started restructuring public institutions for sustained economic as well as human development. Thus improving public service delivery is the high priority goal of the governance reforms. Under the umbrella of governance reforms, the government of India has taken various measure that will be discussed in this article, with a special focus on the initiative of Mission Karmayogi. Since the administration branch mainly deals with the execution of the governance reforms, therefore its reorientation and rejuvenation are indispensable for achieving the objectives o notion-building. Mission Karmayogi is such reformatory initiative in the Indian administrative system, launched as the "National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB)" in 2020, with an aim to modernise civil servants thinking, build and strengthen their competencies for establishing New India which is transparent, peaceful and free from inequalities, and corruption. Digitalisation plays a crucial role in the effective and efficient implementation of governance reforms. The article will discuss the achievements of some of the key and recent governance reforms and highlight key challenges in the way of reforms that need to be tackled to foster public trust, and social cohesion and spur strong, inclusive sustainable growth, and most importantly to make the improvements accessible to those who need the most.
