Summary, etc Major regional economies like India and China were not part of the G7, after Asian economic crisis of 1990, it was felt that G7 to be a supplemented by broad group of stake holders, which led to the birth of G20 in 1999 i.e 19 countries and the European Union. This intergovernmental forum is very crucial because it covers around 85% of global GDP, 75% of World Trade and 60% of global population. it has no permanent Secretariat the chair/ presidency is annually rotated among the members and is apart of revolving 03 members management group of past, present and future chairs, referred to as Troika the present troika members are Indonesia, India and Brazil. India took up the presidency, when the world is marred with conflicts, natural disasters, climate change, covid like pandemic situations, economic slowdown, recession etc. Against this backdrop India assumed G20 presidency which was considered to be a transformative moment with potential to hold answer and provide directions to several international problems. India organized G20 presidency from 1st December 2022 to 30th November 2023, spanning over 200 meetings in 50 cities across 32 different work streams and thereby placed before the international community a glimpse of India's rich cultural heritage. India's G20 2023 theme is "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam", (One Earth-One Family-One Future) India is steering a people centric agenda to address global challenges and facilitate sustainable economic development. The New Delhi Declaration, a universally voiced consensus on common goal for the future and the challenges they face. The central idea of the joint communique is "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" i.e one earth one family and the mission LIFE that has emphasized in bringing a human centric energy transition that focusses on people, planet and prosperity, which has clearly started action points and directives towards an affirmative resolve. -Reproduced
