Political strategy is a deliberate plan to secure the supremacy of a political party in a state. The BJP emerged victorious in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and formed the government at the Centre in Assam. In the 2016 Assam Legislative Assembly elections, the BJP won 60 seats on its own and 86 seats in condition with the AGP and BPF, ending the Indian National Congress' 15- year rule. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won nine seats, while in the 2021 elections, MITRAJOT won 75 seats and formed the government for a second term.
