520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc This study analyses the working of ethnic identity politics in Pakistan. Interestingly, if Pakistan's history is examined, it can be easily deduced that Pakistan was formed on the singular ideology of 'Islamism' as religion was the unifying factor. But the 'Two-Nation' theory, on which Pakistan demanded a separate statehood, proved futile after the 1971 bifurcation of the 'Islamic state' into two independent states. So, instead of looking at Pakistan through the prism of religion alone, the rise of ethnic movements of various groups calls for a different approach to the ramifications of trying to unite it on theocratic grounds.
