| Summary, etc | Tort law is fundamentally aimed at compensating victims for losses they suffer due to the wrongful actions of others. Historically, monetary compensation has served as the primary mechanism for compensating harm, be it personal injury, property damage, or economic loss. However, the adequacy of monetary compensation in achieving justice is increasingly being questioned. This also sermon reconnoitres the issues surrounding the adequacy of monetary awards in tort law and examines whether they serve justice beyond mere economic restitution.
