520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc India has been experiencing a major increase in cybercrimes through digital arrest scams that utilise cutting-edge technology and psychological tricks. The research examines as to how the scammers pretend to be police officers with the aim of extorting money from victims by falsely accusing them of made-up crimes. The research utilises a qualitative methodology through case studies and thematic analysis along with various information sources such as government reports and media accounts. Scammers who target vulnerable groups use advanced AI tools like voice cloning and deep fake technology to give their fraudulent activities greater believability. Victims experience deep emotional as well as financial distress which frequently results in enduring psychological trauma. The study ends by proposing new public awareness initiatives and strengthened cybersecurity protections to address this escalating danger.- Reproduced
