Summary, etc Women’s unpaid work consists not only of unpaid domestic and caregiving services, but also production for own use. These different activities are entangled with each other on the women’s work continuum. Using time-use data, this paper examines the different forms of unpaid work that women in India undertake and finds that they are significantly impacted through access to forms of infrastructure such as housing, electricity and cooking gas. It is argued that the links between infrastructure and women’s time-use must be understood through the lens of a gendered infrastructure policy to truly generate structures of work that are inclusive and equitable.-Reproduced
