520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc Despite the significant increase in health insurance coverage, serious concerns persist. The households from the poorest expenditure decile have the lowest coverage rate. Similarly, urban residents, households with illiterate heads of households, and some religious minorities remain under-represented, revealing gaps in outreach and inclusion. A significant overlap of beneficiaries across multiple schemes suggests resource inefficiencies and highlights the need for rationalisation. The findings underscore the importance of better targeting, addressing inefficiencies, especially in high-poverty regions, and learning from high-performing states. – Reproduced
