Summary, etc This article deals with district level urban governance policy and planning with respect to two Indian states, Karnataka and Telangana. While there is a celery envisioned policy for urban governance in India, this article highlights that its implementation continues to remain patchy. It examiners whether the constitutional promotions envisaged for the sold purposes are being practice at not.
