520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Kerala, `God's own country' - the first state in the country to receive the south-west monsoon precipitation every year presents a depressing scenario at this time of the year. A large number of rivers are dry, containers lining up before one single tap in most parts of the state, cancellation of famous snake boat race on the Pamba river due to insufficient water in the river express the water woes of the state. Kerala has to be provided with water from somewhere to alleviate sufferings of the masses. The author suggests that transfer of surplus water from one river to other appears to be the only feasible solution provided there is a strong will to implement it. - Reproduced.
