Rapid industrialization is a potent factor, which contributes to the process of economic growth. Industry exercises profound influence on the other sectors of the economy including agriculture. In an agrarian economy like the state of Orissa through rapid industrialization led to minimization of disguised unemployment and under employment., it could not avoid regional imbalances in the State. This paper tried to evolve a sound statistical methodology to measure the regional imbalance existing in the levels of industrial development of the state. - Reproduced. |
