Summary, etc. Social capital includes norms and values, which motivate people feel for each other in their social life. It can be cultured to eradicate weeds from the society. From the very beginning of history, some important factors of social capital bring people together and make unite against natural calamities as well as attack from other hazards. Even today, there are many instances of social efforts in the modern history, which can be explained as cumulative actions of peoples' kinship for enhance of mass interests. An initiative at Natore in Bangladesh, Terrorists Extortionists Resistance Action Committee (TERAC) has created an example of social movement where a piece of stick and a flute were the equipments. When terrorists and extortionists come to a shop and claimed undue privileges to the shopkeeper, the flute of the distressed is blown at once. the sound awakes other shopkeepers and they blow flutes from the surroundings. With a stick, all the shopkeepers come without delay at the spot and face the terrors to save property and rescue the distressed. this article manifests people;s initiative relating to social capital for restoration of social security within the organizational framework of TERAC. It highlights strength and weakness of using social capital concept maintaining law and order situation at community level in Bangladesh. - Reproduced.
