Maharatna and Navratna enterprises are examples of good and ethical governance with very high standards of conduct of business as well as making huge contributions to the national exchequer. It is possible only because of ethical governance, best practices of the management being followed and a strict code of conduct. Most of these enterprises are listed among Fortune 500 companies of the world and have made a strong global presence. Maharatna and Navratna are living examples of ethically managed enterprises in an otherwise corrupt and ineffective government administrative setup. - Reproduced.
