In Pakistan, the institutions responsible for enforcing accountability and promoting efficiency of the public services are the Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly, the Courts of Law, the Ombudsman, the Prime Minister's Inspection Commission and, lastly, the Management Service Division (MSD).
