Asion Journal of Public AdministrationSummary: This paper seeks to examine the basic broblems of Public Personnel Administration(PPA) to assess their impact on the administrative system of Bangladesh. The discussion is organized into two sections. One section deals with the theoretical for mulations of PPA and the economic forces that have prompted such conceptualizations. This part is based on the experience of the United States of America which occupies a leading position in the capatalist world and also exerts a major influence in the socio-economic dynamics of many developing states including Bangladesh. The second section seeks to analyze PPA in Bangladesh from the standpoints of history, culture, politics and society to identify some basic problems.
