In this it is intended to review the course taken by Indian Development Planning since its inception till date, in the context of uncertainty surrounding it, of late. India in all fairness, is to be viewed as the leader of development planning among the LDCs, and the story of history of it, which is quite holding, needs to be told and re-told. The Nation owes a lot of its whatever development to planning, not withstanding its denigration recently"
