It has been observed that in the districts with high tribal concentration the sex ratio and growth rate remained constant over the last 30 years. The pace of urbanisation and literacy has been lower in these districts compared to the state of Madhya Pradesh and other districts. the population in the tribal districts has been found `young' as compared to that in other districts. On the basis of the observations it has been suggested to have exclusively district level planning for the tribal districts of the State. - Reproduced
