As the new Millennium approaches, the impact of technology on society is a subject of heated debate. The use of technology has grown exponentially. In the Academy, IT related training to Civil Services Officers is imparted by National Informatics Centre Training Unit (NICTU), to train them in different quarters of administrative fields. It has revolutionised many aspects of human organisations. It is the dissemination, processing and storage of information, primarily by means of computers.
