The effectiveness of these mechanisms is determined by various factors such as active parliament, expertise and interest of parliamentarians, unbiased role of the Speaker and dynamism in committee systems. Absences of such factors have made multifarious problems in ensuring accountability of the executive branch of government through parliament.
