With the help of secondary data, this paper tries to understand the importance of the road network in North-east India (NEI). The estimates of correlation coefficient revealed that there is a positive correlation between economic growth and road network length in the region. There is also the prevalence of a high rural-urban road network inequality rate in the region. Though it is quite expected, this paper reassured the importance of the road network in leveraging region’s economic growth process. – Reproduced
