Bihar has recorded the highest growth during the last three years among major states of India. When majority of states registered negative growth in the pandemic year (2020-21), Bihar registered positive and highest growth. This growth is even highest among major Indian states during the pandemic year (2020-21), however, majority of states registered negative growth during the pandemic year. The paper quantifies the growth drivers of the economy and found that the road transport sector has been growing over 10 percent during the last decade. The growth recorded under road transport is the highest among other major Indian states. This background posesthe question in mind that what is the reason behind this growth process and which sectors playing major role in the engine of growth?
