Application of labor welfare measures among workers in the carpet industry: A study in the light of government initiatives

The present paper, based on secondary sources of data collection, finds that the socio-economic life of skilled and semi-skilled laborers of carpet industry in North India remains deplorable despite government initiatives. Their situation was further worsened by the global recession of carpet trade due to pandemic.
