Woman's unemployability is a concern that takes its place on all important platforms of national and international significance. Women worldwide strive to make a career and break the shackles of stereotyping and gender bias. As women step out as prospective employees, it is imperative to decode the mindset of employers who seek competent candidates. A prospective employee has to fit into the job and the organization. Through both quantitative and qualitative means, the researcher has attempted to understand the factors that affect women's unemployability from the employers' perspective. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire and was analysed through various parametric and non-parametric tests. The important finding includes the skill and competency gap as instrumental factors in women's employment. The researcher has included various socio-cultural barriers within the scope of this study to understand the deep-rooted impact of the same on this research topic. – Reproduced
