The Indian Police JournalSummary: Many countries, have adopted strategies to curtail the percentage of the child marriages, including the promotion of free education and other schemes to prevent child marriages, but still more could be done on this. It is evident from the various surveys and studies that child marriages are prevalent in all parts of the world and in India particularly. Rate of child marriages in all the states of India and in all social groups is unacceptably high.
