India proximity from the “Golden Triangle” marked it as a both transit route and destination for illicit drug trafficking groups. The India-Myanmar border is susceptible to the actions of insurgents, drug and arms traffickers, and criminals due to its high porosity, inadequate security measures. Primary objective of the study to utilities secondary data sources to trace the drug trafficking activities following Junta resurgence in Myanmar. Considering the fact that the lack of adequate protection along the IndiaMyanmar border presents a significant threat to India’s security, it is crucial for India to enhance the security measures at the border and intensify its efforts to establish a close relationship with Myanmar in order to efficiently deals with these security threats.- Reproduced
