Civic space is a massive value of a democratic country that makes the political system dynamic and accountable. Civil society inquires about problems from critical perspectives and creates a dialogue atmosphere among citizens. It is believed that civil society activity both precedes and serves as an indicator of successful governance. Political synergies, accountability frameworks, and community mobilization to assert entitlements are important aspects of the relationship between civil society and governance. As such the present paper examines the role of civil society in good governance for ensuring employment, empowerment, justice, and effective service delivery.
