The Indo- Pacific region is a hotbed of maritime activities where countries have and are trying to cast a major influence, because of its geopolitical significance. With the transformational trajectories in its foreign policy and as a leading power today, India has secured a somewhat enviable position in the emerging dynamics of the Quad and in the greater Indo- Pacific region. India's concern for bolstering regional stability and security has been shared by other countries in the Indo- Pacific and this integrative dynamic has the potential to amplify synergy and lead to realization of common regional goals. The objective of Quad is no longer limited to counter the Chinese influence alone, but Quad today, is a platform to address issues like health security, climate change and emerging technologies. In this regard, India can play a pioneering role given the fact that significant and noticeable changes have taken place within the economic and political realm. Quad arrangement thus offers India and its Indo- Pacific partners the opportunity to forge strategic partnerships that can help create, a free and open Indo Pacific region - the principal objective around which the idea of Indo- Pacific was centered around. - Reproduced
