This paper examines the emerging role of academic libraries in Research Data Management (RDM), with a inclusion of the Indian context. While global best practices and initiatives provide useful benchmarks, the Indian scenario presents unique challenges in terms of policy, infrastructure, and skills. This study evaluates the readiness of Indian academic libraries to engage with RDM services and highlights practical ways forward. It also outlines in documenting the current landscape of RDM services in Indian libraries while proposing a realistic model to adopt RDM practices.-Reproduced
