IASLIC BulletinSummary: The study is an attempt to identify published research work and the current status of research related to open source digital library software. Literature published in different sources of information such as journals, articles, magazines, conference proceedings etc, has been collected and presented in the form of a review. It is found that significant research attention is devoted to the selection, adoption and comparison of open source software (OSS) for developing digital libraries. More literature has been published on D Space and greenstone software. However, no research has been found on implementation of software by libraries of as institutions, organization offering specific congress and the use of any service provider in adopting and maintaining open source digital library software. – Reproduced
